Xiaomi has revealed the devices that it is bringing Android 7.0 Nougat. The Mi 4C, Mi 4S and Mi Note will be the models that you can expect to see the latest Android operating system.
The news was revealed in a Gizmochina report that cited a Xiaomi MIUI Operations manager. The official has not revealed when the company will bring the update to the Redmi series phones, the Mi 5S, Mi Note 2 and others.
Currently, beta testing is underway. Xiaomi might want to catch up with other Chinese leading names such as Huawei and Lenovo that has already started rolling out Android Nougat to some of their models.
We don’t have an official release date for the Nougat update on Xiaomi phones. For those who cannot wait for the latest Android OS, the use of customized ROMs is also an option.
