Trying to be tad different from other new devices being released, Videocon has announced the Q1 with dual WhatsApp and external pen drive support to access documents and multimedia on the go.
The latest Videocon Q1 V50OK is packed with a host of features that makes it an ideal choice. The dual-SIM phone has a 5-inch full HD IPS display with a 1080×1920 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor.
It further comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage expandable up to 32GB. To be priced at Rs 8,999, the device runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
On the camera front, you have 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and 8MP front camera for selfies. The camera functions include Single Touch Camera Operation, Face Detection, Smile Shutter, Geo-Tagging, HDR, Panorama and Night Vision.
With Reliance Jio 4G launched across India, the good news is Videocon’s Q1 is compatible with the network, besides supporting GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS and Radio.
Q1 is equipped with P Sensor, G Sensor, L Sensor, Motion Sensor, Magnetic Sensor and Gyroscope. The mobile, weighing about 140 grams, comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
Not leaving any stone unturned, Videocon recently also launched the Cube 3 with 4G VoLTE support, at a price of Rs 8,490. Though has similar features to the Q1, Cube 3 is different in terms of camera, offering just 5MP for selfies and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC processor. The smartphone has an ‘SOS-Be Safe’ app that is useful for emergency situations.
Videocon is hoping the series of devices launched will lead to strong sales, especially with Dussehra and Diwali fast approaching.
