Canon EOS M6 launched: Features, specs and price

Expanding its portfolio of the EOS M Series, Canon on Tuesday launched the new M6 digital camera with interchangeable lens. Equipped with a high performance External Electronic View Finder – the EVF-DC2, the new Canon EOS M6 digital camera succeeds the older EOS M3 and comes with slick design and improved features.

The new lightweight EOS M6 camera packs a 24.2 Megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor able to capture sharp, high-resolution images. The device further boasts an advanced image processor, DIGIC 7, and super-fast Dual Pixel CMOS AF speed for camera enthusiasts to capture high-resolution images and Full HD videos.

Other key specifications of the EOS M6 include a dual pixel CMOS AF with phase-detection, built-in Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth technology. Compatible with EF1, EF-S1 and EF-M lenses and select EOS system accessories, the device further packs an intuitive touch screen, 3.0-inch tilt-type LCD and five functional dials.

To reduce camera shake when shooting videos, the gadget boasts of an in-built five-axis sensor-shift image-stabilization system.

The EOS M6 also features Optional Electronic View Finder EVF-DC2 which is designed to offer high-performance viewing with approximately 2.36 million dots. Compatible with the Canon Connect Station CS100, the device helps users to easily manage, view and share memorable moments wirelessly.

Available in both black and silver models, the new Canon EOS M6 camera will retail starting April for an estimated $779.99 for the body, only through authorized dealers and Canon online store.
