Blu’s Vivo XL2 is a new budget phone sold at $149

If you are shopping for a new budget Android phone, Blu’s latest is worth giving a shot. The American smartphone maker today announced the Vivo XL2.

blu vivo xl2A successor to the Vivo XL, the latest packs a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The hardware includes a 1.4GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage (expandable up to 64GB).

In terms of camera, you have a wide-angle 8MP front camera and a 13MP main sensor with PDAF and autofocus. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will be backed by a 3,150 mAh battery.

The Vivo XL, which launched at the CES 2016, came with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 720p resolution, MediaTek MT6753 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage. The battery was of 3,150 mAh.

Vivo has brought the upgrade right around the upcoming MWC.
