BLU R1 HD was released in June, this year. While R1 HD had a battery of 2500 mAh, the new R1 Plus has a beefier 4100 mAh.

The BLU R1 Plus has checked through the FCC and pictures offering a glimpse of the design is available for online viewing. The device could be an Amazon-exclusive.

On the features, the BLU R1 Plus sports a 5-inch display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737V processor. The BLU R1 HD had the same display but the chipset was a MediaTek MT6735. The R1 HD also had 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

Also to consider is the battery, with the Plus backed by a massive 4100 mAh, much higher than R1 HD’s 2500 mAh. The device could come with Amazon Shopping, Drive, Kindle, Music, Video, Photo and Alexa pre-installed.

Not much details on the pricing is available as yet. However, given the slightly higher chipset and battery capacity, the device could cost slightly more than the R1 HD.

The R1 HD sold at a price tag of $99 for base model. And during the release, Amazon offered Prime members a $50 discount, but with certain conditions.
