Blue Coral version of Galaxy S7 Edge now in the US

Samsung has introduced a new variant to the cutting-edge, water and dust resistant, Galaxy S7 Edge. From November, consumers in the U.S. and few selected markets can purchase the Blue Coral version.

A contrasting gold tone hue was added to the metallic frame, rendering a sophisticated feel.

The Blue Coral was first introduced in August with the Note 7. However, faulty batteries in the device brought the demise of the entire Note 7 line. Besides the Blue Coral, the S7 Edge is available in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, White Pearl, Silver Titanium and Pink Gold.

The premium device sports a 5.5-inch 1440p curved AMOLED display and runs on quad-core Snapdragon 820 clocked at 2.15GHz with 4GB RAM. There is a 32GB storage and 3000/3600mAh battery, besides 12MP f/1.7 aperture shooter with Dual Pixel at the rear and a 5MP wide-angle selfie shooter.

The S7 Edge is the first smartphone to implement the Dual Pixel camera for brighter and sharper images. Other features include the Always On Display, IP68 water and dust resistance and microSD card slot.

The Blue Coral Galaxy S7 Edge will run Android Marshmallow. Availability details will be provided by wireless providers in each market.
