BlackBerry BBC100-1 spotted on Geekbench with 4GB RAM, Android 7.0 Nougat

Renders of a BlackBerry device dubbed BBC100-1 had surfaced online around January this year. Some of the specs as well were leaked. It now appears the device will have a launch any time soon, thanks to the recent sighting on a popular benchmarking site.

The BlackBerry BBC100-1 was listed on Geekbench on Monday, April 24. As reported earlier, it reveals a Qualcomm SoC with quad-core and 4GB RAM. According to the listing, the device will run Android 7.0 when it launches.

Besides the aforementioned, the Geekbench database doesn’t reveal any other specs. But an earlier leak had already revealed the other core specs. Going by the reports, we are expecting a 5.5-inch display (720x1280p resolution), 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 chipset and 4GB RAM.

The internal storage will be 32GB and the battery will be a decent 3,000 mAh. For pictures, it is likely to feature a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Of course, nothing out of the ordinary with regard to specs. The live images reveal display to be almost all screen, with minimal bezels.

Unlike other BlackBerry devices manufactured by TCL, the BBC100-1 will be put together by PT BB Merah Putih for the Indonesian market. The device should soon see a launch in the country.
