BenQ introduces Zowie XL2540 monitor with 240Hz refresh rate

BenQ Zowie is a gaming monitor used by most professional eSports tournaments and players. On Monday, BenQ announced the new Zowie XL2540 monitor that can effortlessly manage a 240Hz refresh rate.

The latest addition to the XL series promises increased smoothness to deliver incredible gameplay experiences even as the computer generates over 240 frames per second (fps). The monitor will be on display for the first time during the DreamHack Winter taking place in Sweden between November 24-26. The Zowie XL2540 is however now available for pre-order.

“From its inception, Zowie has been dedicated to the development of e-Sports equipment to enable competitive gamers to play to the best of their abilities,” BenQ stated, adding the XL2540 introduces increased smoothness in-game and its native 240Hz refresh rate can be fully activated to deliver different levels of gameplay experience.

The XL2540 boasts of a built-in Black eQualizer technology that brightens dark scenes and the one-finger height adjustable stand that provides personalized viewing angles. It also features S Switch that allows to easily access settings and a specially designed frame that minimizes reflective screen glare.

Earlier in August, BenQ launched a gaming monitor that was part of the RL series, featuring a 27-inch TN based panel. The LED-backlight monitor supported a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and came equipped with Flicker-Free Technology to help reduce eye strain.
