The wearable device powered by Android Wear, Asus ZenWatch 3, is now available for order. The full-featured smartwatch will sell for $229.
ZenWatch 3 will ship in early November and can be purchased through the Asus store and B&H. It might be a little disappointing that only one model has been made available – the dark case with the brown strap. We do not yet know when the other colors will be available.
Made from 316L stainless steel, the wearable device is also an activity tracker and is powered by Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. It has a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 400×400 resolution, covered with curved 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. You can personalize the smartwatch with range of case finishes, strap materials, and color choices available.
The watch faces are fully customizable. The 50 software watch faces can be seamlessly managed through the ZenWatch Manager smartphone app. ZenWatch 3 also features exclusive HyperCharge technology that takes just 15 minutes to reach a 60 percent charge. An optional battery pack is also available.
For fitness enthusiasts, the ZenWatch 3 comes with a activity tracker that can track a range of activities including walking, running and push-ups. The companion smartphone app provides related summaries and graphs.
