Asus ZenPad 3S 10 LTE launched: 4GB RAM, Stylus, 2K Display, Quick Charge all in tow!

Asus is making its presence felt in the tablet segment this year with the introduction of its newest ZenPad 3S 10 LTE (Z500KL) tablet. As its name suggests, it supports LTE and comes packed with a 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 1536×2048.

Apart from sporting an interesting display resolution, the internals consist of a Snapdragon 650 System-on-Chip, 4GB of RAM and internal storage of 32GB.

Asus plans on going big with its latest tablet. The claims that the tablet will have the world’s thinnest bezels on such a form-factor, according to a promotional video. It’ll also come in an all metal body, with some sleek looking diamond-cut detailing around the model.

On the optics side of things, the tablet will support an 8MP rear camera without flash and a 5MP front facing snapper. We are not expecting any exceptional camera performance here anyway, but it’s the thought that counts, right? According to PhoneArena, the new ZenPad 3S will run on Marshmallow and to back everything up and making it powered up is a huge 7,800 mAh battery. It has promised about 16 hours of usage and 150 hours of standby time.

The tablet will come with its own Z stylus for those illustrators on the go. The stylus supports up to 1024 pressure levels. Bundled along with the tablet is a special protective cover and a stand. Other features also include stereo speakers and 7.1 Dolby surround for headphones. The SD 650 also supports QuickCharge, which means Asus packed that along for the ride too.

Overall, it’s an excellent package for users, with an impressive screen and great multimedia capabilities. If the company could perhaps make updates quick enough for Nougat and the following Android versions to catch up, that would make this almost the perfect tablet and quite a contender for the rest out there. Although the front looks more Samsung-ish, it’s features and pricing are unlike it.

This is one device to look out for this year and it will be available for $405 approximately once it becomes available in the US. For now, it is only available in Malaysia.
