Asus ZenFone 3 Max launched in US, an affordable device at $149

If you are in the market for an affordable Android phone this holiday, Asus has one for you. The ZenFone 3 Max has just landed in the U.S. with a price tag of $149.

The mid-range smartphone is available for purchase at Amazon and B&H Photo. The unlocked device will work with AT&T, T-Mobile and other network carriers.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max is a downsized version of the Zenfone 3 that was launched during Computex on 30 May 2016. It sports a 5.2-inch display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features a 75% screen-to-body ratio

The device will sell in three variants. The base model will feature a MediaTek MT6737M processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Then you have a 3GB RAM / 32GB storage powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, and a 4GB RAM / 64GB storage variant that is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor.

For pictures, you have a 13MP rear camera and 5MP shooter for selfies in the front. The dual-SIM phone has a fingerprint sensor on the back. You can swipe the sensor to quickly take a picture.  For longer usage, the Zenfone 3 Max packs a 4,100 mAh battery. The incredible power backup can support 20 hours of 3G talk time and up to 18 hours of browsing.
