Asus has a new mid-range smartphone for consumers in India. The Zenfone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL) is part of the Go series and will be sold exclusively through Amazon India.
The Taiwanese smartphone maker claims to have had good success with the launch of the predecessor Zenfone Go. So it was convinced to bring a new itinerant offering more elegant design and performance.
On Zenfone Go 5.5, the company has fitted a 5.5-inch IPS display (720x1280p) and a 1.0GHz quad-core Snapdragon 8916 chipset with Adreno 306 GPU.
There is 2GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable up to 128GB) for increased speed and efficiency. The device is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and dual LED real-tone flash.
For selfies, there is a 5MP front shooter. Thanks to the PixelMaster 3.0 app, users can access multiple modes for photography such as Back Light (HDR) Mode, Low Light Mode, Manual Mode, Real Time Beautification Mode, Super Resolution Mode and Night Mode.
Power is drawn by a 3,000 mAh battery. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system sits underneath the company’s ZenUI 3.0 skin. Zenfone Go 5.5 will support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2 and dual SIM.
The device will retail at Rs 8,499 ($131), with Charcoal Black and Sheer Gold variants.
