Samsung released the ArtPC Pulse in the U.S. on Monday. The unique cylindrical body PC boasts of 6th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, AMD Radeon RX460 GPU, up to 16GB of memory and a 1 HDD module, plus 256GB SSD. It is perfect for both average use as well demanding multimedia like streaming 4K movies or playing 3D games.

With a full metal body, the ArtPC Pulse is 5.5 inches wide and 12.2 inches tall. On the design front, critics have spotted a parallel between Mac Pro and the recently launched HP Pavilion Wave.

Samsung’s premium desktop has an ambient pulse lighting band embedded that can be customized to provide Smart Notifications via lighting changes. For instance, when you receive a mail the ArtPC Pulse will blink yellow and blue for social media notification.

Samsung said the PC comes with an additional 1 TB HDD storage module for housing large photos and movies. Ports found include USB 3.0, a USB Type-C and HDMI.

On the top of the cylindrical PC, there is an omnidirectional Harmon Kardon speaker module for rich sound quality. The speaker as well is customizable, with options for specific audio effects and balancing.

ArtPC Pulse will begin shipping at the end of the month. It can be currently pre-ordered on Amazon for $1,200. The premium desktop ships with a wireless keyboard and mouse out of the box.
