The aim of the design of the game is to inhabit a world that psychedelic and straight out of the movie itself. The makers claim that this isn’t as simple as a ‘Call of Duty in Vietnam’.

4) It’s got Coppola’s blessings and full support!
Coppola already was inspiring gamers everywhere after a game based on the Godfather series was made. This time around, the director is actively taking part in the activities of the development and has expressed his support. In his words, “Forty years ago, I set out to make a personal art picture that could hopefully influence generations of viewers for years to come. Today, I’m joined by new daredevils, a team who want to make an interactive version of Apocalypse Now, where you are Captain Benjamin Willard amidst the harsh backdrop of the Vietnam War. I’ve been watching videogames grow into a meaningful way to tell stories, and I’m excited to explore the possibilities for Apocalypse Now for a new platform and a new generation.”

5) Play as Captain Willard
The story of the game surrounds the travails of Captain Willard, who the player will be controlling throughout the game. The story revolves around the Captain, who is sent on a mission to assassinate renegade Colonel Walter E. Kurtz.k.
