AOC’s new AGON gaming monitor packs a fast refresh rate

AOC has introduced a new 25-inch gaming monitor which it claims is the fastest in the market.

AOC says its new AGON AG251FZ is the fastest gaming monitor in the world.

The new AGON AG251FZ will hit the stores in January 2017.

Designed for serious games and esports enthusiasts, the new AGON AG251FZ has a refresh rate of 240Hz and a 1ms GtG response time. The resolution is standard 1080p, in a 16:9 ratio.

Among other notable features, you have the Low Input Lag mode that swiftly executes commands and the Shadow Control that lights up dark areas without affecting the rest of the screen. There is also the QuickSwitch keypad for players to switch between presets, whether FPS, racing or RTS games.

Long gaming sessions can have negative effects on your eye health, appropriately AOC has equipped the display with Flicker-free technology to lessen flickering and the Low Blue Light mode to reduce harmful blue light.

The monitor has an ergonomic stand that allows you to change the monitor position or adjust height. You can also tilt or swivel from landscape to portrait mode. There is a handle as well, just in case you want to carry the monitor.

The AOC AGON AG251FZ will hit store shelves in January 2017 for a price of £449. We don’t have a U.S. pricing yet. Let us hope AOC makes an official announcement on the availability and price in other regions.
