Suddenly Nokia phones are surfacing on new leaks. Prototype images of the Nokia 9 was spotted showing off the design. Additionally, reports state the flagship device was listed along with Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 on Geekbench.
If the Geekbench listing is true, then Nokia 9 will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 1.90 GHz and 4GB RAM. The listing further reveals that the smartphone scored 1815 in single-core test and 6278 in multi-core test.
The alleged Nokia 9 was listed with model name “Unknown Heart”. Another key feature Geekbench confirms is that of the OS, which will be Android Nougat 7.1.1. When Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 appeared on Geekbench earlier, it was listed with the name “Heart”. It is on this premise that reports speculate what “Unknown Heart” could be.
For those curious on the specs to be seen in Nokia 8 and Nokia 7, the former will allegedly come with a Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 3GB RAM and the latter to run Snapdragon 630 with 3GB RAM. Both the devices will also feature the latest Nougat operating system.
Nokia 9 will be the game-breaker out of the three though, with some top of the line features rumored. Reports state the device will pack a 5.3-inch QHD OLED display and will be equipped with two 13MP cameras on the back with dual LED flash. It will also be the first device to feature ‘Nokia OZO Audio’ enhancements.
Last week, the prototype of the Nokia 9 was shown off in a special cased by Frandroid.com. Though that will not be the final release, it does confirm a USB Type-C port located at the bottom of the device and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top. The leak also confirmed the core specs known.
To house both fingerprint scanner and an Iris Scanner, the Nokia 9 will carry IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The flagship device is expected to launch by the end of Q3 2017. Going by the figures doing the rounds, the device will cost a whopping $700.
