Alcatel will be launching the Idol 4 smartphone in India on Thursday. The company has sent out media invites for the launch event.
The Idol 4 has a smaller 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080p Full HD IPS display and is powered by the Snapdragon 617 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage.
One of the highlights is the Boom Key experience – a single button to swiftly take instant photos,
brighten up the screen, increase the volume or stream live video. Alcatel says Idol 4 is poised to blast users to the next level when it comes to the way they take photos, listen to music or play games.
With a slick glass front and a metal frame, the device has all the features of a high quality smartphone. First unveiled at the pre-MWC 2016 event in February, the Idol 4 has a 13MP primary camera and 8MP shooter on the front.
The 4G LTE-capable device packs a 2,610 mAh battery. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. We are not sure about the Indian pricing yet. However, going by the international pricing (EUR 279), you can expect it to sell at around Rs 20,000.
