Images and specifications of the Mi 5c has leaked a number of times. The latest 3c certification only corroborates reports that Xiaomi is bringing a lighter version, probably that could be launched during the upcoming Mobile World Congress.

According to the latest listing and past rumors, the Mi 5c is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor. It will be paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. The camera is tipped to be of 12MP at the rear and an 8MP on the front for selfies.

The 5.5-inch full-HD display phone will also be armed with a 3,200 mAh battery. As pointed by The Indian Express, the 3c certification listing reveals that Xiaomi Mi 5c will use a 5V/2A power adapter, meaning it will not support fast charging.

Specs of Mi 5s and Mi5s Plus

Reports of the purported Mi 5c comes five months after Xiaomi launched the Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus.

Launched at an event in Beijing on September 27, the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus featured a metal unibody design and a dual rear camera set up. The phones were powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 SoC.

To recall, the Mi 5s packed a 5.15-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, 3GB/4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. For pictures there was a single 12MP rear camera and 4MP front shooter.

The Mi 5s Plus on the other hand featured a 5.7-inch display and two 12MP sensors on the back. There were also differences in the fingerprint sensor, with the Mi 5s bearing it on its home button, while in Mi 5s Plus it was placed on the rear panel.

The Upcoming Mi 6

These specs are worth noting now that Xiaomi is soon to launch the Mi 6 flagship. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is tipped to be the first Chinese brand to feature the latest Qualcomm processor. But there are contradicting reports. The latest is that though it will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset, it will be clocked lower.

The top-end device could launch in two variants based on the processors. Other details worth noting include the dual-edge curved display, home button that doubles up as a fingerprint sensor and a 16MP rear camera. To run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, the device is expected to be decked with a 3,000 mAh battery.
