The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active we know is already in works. The device, a more rugged version of the widely-accepted Galaxy S8, has been the subject of many leaks. Now, another leak reveals more specs of the soon-to-release device.
In a post on Chinese social networking site Weibo, the device was seen along with key features. All the details conform to the past rumors. You have a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 2960×1440 pixel resolution. The device will run on Snapdragon 835 processor and will be powered by a massive 4,000 mAh battery. Additionally, you can expect a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. For pictures, it will be fitted with 12MP rear camera and 8MP front shooter.
As the name suggests, the Galaxy S8 Active is designed to hold up against the rigor of your adventurous lifestyle. Rugged devices are often tested to withstand various military grade specifications. You can expect the same on S8 Active, including a IP68-rating for water and dust resistance. Also, the device will have MIL-STD 810G standard protection and polymer bumpers on all four corners.
The difference of the S8 Active with the standard version would be the bigger battery setup and the rugged features. Also, the S8 Active is larger and heavier than the S8. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be available in Meteor Grey and Titanium Gold. It will arrive with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed. There is no word on when the device will be made official.
