For all those fans waiting with bated breath for Xiaomi’s new phablet, the company has revealed the release date for its next launch. The Mi Max 2 will be officially introduced on May 25.
A successor to last year’s Mi Max, the new phablet is a much more powerful device, boasting specs found on more expensive brands. For the uninitiated, the Mi Max 2 is rumored to come with a 6.44-inch screen and a massive 5,000 mAh battery.
The device will launch in two processor variants – one being the Snapdragon 625 and other Snapdragon 660 chips. The processor will be accompanied with 4GB/6GB RAMs and 128GB storage. It may be recalled that the Mi Max as well launched with two processor and RAM variants.
There are speculations over the camera, an important feature for all latest launches. On the Mi Max 2, there are indications of a 12MP camera in the rear and 5MP on front. There are also reports of a 16MP sensor instead of the 12MP one.
Weighing 203 grams, the phone sports an all-metal body and will come with USB Type-C for charging. It will also run Android Nougat 7.1.1 with MIUI skin on top.
