Last month, Xiaomi launched the Mi Mix in China. Now the company is working on a smaller version of the same dubbed as Mi Mix Nano.
Several leaks have revealed the specs of the purported device. The latest one on Weibo reveals the same bezel-less design. It could sport a 5.5-inch full HD display and be powered by a Snapdragon 821 Soc.
The processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is smaller when pitted against the original Mi Mix. The Mi Mix sells in two variants – the 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage.
The Mi Mix was the first Xiaomi phone with edge-to-edge display. The same is expected to continue with the smaller Nano. Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of MIUI 8, the Mi Mix Nano will reportedly have a price tag of CNY 3,000 ($435). It could be launched any time in December.
No details on the camera and battery are available as yet. You can expect many of the features found on Mi Mix to be carried on to Nano.
The Mi Mix features a 6.4-inch display and a 16MP PDAF rear camera accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. There is also a 5MP shooter in the front. The dual SIM smartphone packs a 4400 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS and USB Type C.
