The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could possibly come in two variants, one being a premium version with 128GB/256GB of internal memory.
While Xiaomi’s long-awaited device is set to be launched next week, latest leak speculates two variants, one powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC and the premium being a Snapdragon 821 chipset with 6GB of RAM. The first will feature a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage.
The latest rumored specs were posted on Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo and was reported by Phone Arena.
The Mi Note 2 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch screen with Force Touch and a 1440 x 2560 resolution (QHD). Other highlights include, a 4000mAh battery, a 13MP dual camera on its rear and a 5MP front-facing camera. The device could be introduced in White, Black and Pearl powder versions.
Xiaomi will reportedly unveil the Mi Note 2 on September 24. The launch date was discovered on a teaser image that had 9.24 written on it. However, it is still not clear whether the teaser image is the official or fake.
Giving a major boost to the brand, the Mi Note 2 recently passed the China Compulsory Certification (3C), commonly known as CCC Mark. The certification is a mandatory requirement for products imported or manufactured in China.
The Mi Note 2 is expected to cost 2,999 yuan or about $450.
