VIZIO’s new D-Series TV range offer 4K at budget prices

VIZIO’s latest lineup of Smart TV, the D Series is here and it looks like VIZIO is serious about being the best budget player in the fierce 4K market. The D Series packs HD, FHD, and Ultra HD TVs with screen size stretching from 24 inches to 65 inches.

VIZIO has always been the go-to brand for buying Smart TVs that don’t leave a dent in the wallet. And their strategy is reiterated with their latest range of Smart TV. The TV range while not being very feature-rich, offers great value for the greens spent. With top-of-the-range model priced at less than $1,000, D-Series is a great option to consider if you’re looking to buy a big 4K TV with enough features to keep you glued to those wide screens.

Features of D-Series

Featured models in the D-Series range has full-array LED backlighting and 12 Active LED Zones that boost contrast and light distribution as compared to the conventional Edge-lit LED panels. Also, the Clear Action 180 feature in the TVs plays the video at a refresh rate of 120Hz, allowing greater detail for quick-action scenes.

Among the other features are VIZIO’s stock Internet Apps Plus platform that offers effortless access to TV shows, streaming movies, music, and support for iHeartRadio, Netflix, and Xumo. Higher-end models also support 4K Ultra High Definition resolutions for 4K streaming content as well as UHD Blu-Ray players.

“The all-new 2017 D-Series collection is incredibly versatile, giving consumers great picture quality collection-wide as well as an affordable entry point to 4K Ultra HD,” says Matt McRae, VIZIO’s chief technology officer.

“With an ever-expanding selection of 4K movies and shows available to consumers, the VIZIO Internet Apps Plus smart TV platform makes streaming 4K Ultra HD entertainment a simple experience for D-Series users,” he adds.
