Two Samsung devices spotted on Geekbench, hints of Galaxy S8 Mini

An upcoming Samsung device was spotted on a popular benchmarking site, giving rise to speculations for a Galaxy S8 Mini or Galaxy S8 Lite.

The Samsung device was spotted on Geekbench with model number SM-G9600. Not just one, but two model numbers have been spotted on the benchmarking site. The second bears the number SM-G9650. This could also be a ‘lite’ version of the Galaxy S8 or even the new Galaxy S9.

For now, these are just speculations and we cant conclude until there is any official confirmation on the launch of the devices and the specs from Samsung.

The SM-G9650 shows a 4GB RAM and a probable Snapdragon 845 chipset. It will also run the latest Android 7.1.2. As for the SM-G9600, the device will have a quad-core Snapdragon 840 chipset with 4GB RAM. It also runs on same Android 7.1.2 OS.

For sometime rumor mills have been abuzz on Samsung releasing a lightweight version of the widely-popular Galaxy S8. The device, dubbed as the Galaxy S8 Mini, will feature a 5.3-inch display with extra-wide aspect ratio of 18.5:9.

According to rumors, the Galaxy S8 Mini should be equipped with a 32GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB and will include 12MP rear camera and Iris scanner.
