As we all know smartphones can be a pricey accessory to own these days. The rates of the iPhone’s tend to be on an outrageous incline every year. It would be safe to assume that some phones have far outdone their value in gold. Another one to bite the dust is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, according to tech monkey Evan Blass this may be the priciest one yet.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is estimated to be priced at $900, a significant price hike from Samsung’s previous models. This smartphone will have a 6.3-inch infinity display, vertical dual lens rear-facing camera, and a 3,300 mAh battery life. The handset is powered by Exynos 8895 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipsets with a 6GB RAM and a built-in storage of 64GB. Apart from these specifications, the Galaxy Note 8 will retain its signature stylus. However, there may be talks of integrating a fingerprint scanner, one similar to the Galaxy S8.
At the exorbitant price of $900 the features Samsung chooses to provide are fairly average. There seems to be no integration of new features, they seem to be merely beefing up the already pre-existing specifications. From a buyers point of view, the Galaxy Note 8 is neither a square nor a fair deal. If pitted against the iPhone 8 the phone will fail miserably. The new iPhone model is said to have integrated a bigger edge-to-edge display, a fingerprint scanner embedded right under the display and could also have wireless charging.
While Samsung is beefing up its pre-existing specifications, the engineers at Apple are actually integrating new features in their upcoming model. With the regular run of the mill specifications coupled with the outrageous price tag one has to ask, is it worth spending a fortune on a product that delivers nothing? The Galaxy Note 8 is set for launch this coming September, aligning its launch with the new iPhone 8.
