If the specifications that read on a cross-platform processor benchmark is correct, Google’s upcoming smartphone Pixel XL will have 4GB RAM and will ship with Android 7.1 Nougat.
Confirming some of the rumours surrounding the Pixel XL, Geekbench showed the device coming with Qualcomm quad-core processor clocked at 1.59GHz and 4GB RAM.
The benchmark, first discovered by Wccftech, does not reveal the chipset make or other details. But several reports earlier have suggested the Pixel XL to come with Snapdragon 820 or Snapdragon 821. If the devices feature Snapdragon 821, it would make it the first in the US to come with the latest processors from Qualcomm.
The Pixel smartphone could come with a 5.0-inch display, while Pixel XL will launch with a 5.5-inch screen. The devices, manufactured by Taiwan’s HTC, could come with USB Type-C connectivity, a 12-MP main camera, and an 8-MP selfie camera.
If latest reports are to be believed, the devices could also come with the new Pixel Launcher, indicating that Google is doing away with the Nexus brand. The Launcher has an updated search bar with a Google button and the app drawer will slide from the bottom now.
Last week, pictures of the two smartphone’s front panel leaked along with their display assembly. The images, leaked via Winfuture.de, showed the smaller device measuring 4.99 inches in diagonal, while the bigger being 5.46 inches.
The Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are expected to be officially announced on October 4.
