Moto Z2 surfaces on Geekbench with Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB RAM

Just days after Motorola launched the Moto Z2 Play, there are indications of a new Moto phone coming. The Moto Z2 will be a high end device that is expected to launched later this year.

Thanks to it’s appearance on Geekbench, we can confirm some of the specs fans can expect. According to the benchmarking site, the Moto Z2 will pack Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset. Along with a powerful processor, you can be sure of a 4GB RAM as well.

The smartphone managed to get 1,879 points in the single-core test and a score of 6,503 points in the multi-core test. Meanwhile, the Geekbench listing also confirmed the Z2 will run Android 7.1.1 out of the box.

There is no indication on the release date or the other core features that should feature on the device. Around the launch, we should be able to confirm much of those.

However, for those in the market for a new Moto device, there is the Moto Z2 Play that launched earlier this month with support for Moto Mods. On the spec sheet, you have a 5.5-inch FullHD Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 626 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

The metal body phone has a fingerprint sensor on the front and has metal pins on the back to attach Moto Mods. The new Moto Mods that Motorola launched alongside the Z2 Play were the JBL Sound Boost 2, Turbo Power Pack 2, slimmer power packs and the GamePod Mod.

For other important specs on Z2 Play, users have a 12MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and wide-angle lens, and 5MP sensor on front with a dual-LED CCT flash. It runs Android 7.1.1 and also packs a 3,000 mAh battery for power.
