Huawei Mate 10 Pro leaks feature dual-camera and bezel-less front panel

The biggest Mate 10 variant has just been leaked and Huawei has shown just how little compromises it has taken to provide a stellar smartphone experience. While the Mate 10 Lite was also just recently released to the masses, that phone ended up being more of a flagship than a mid-range offering. The new Mate 10 Pro’s new leaks show how much different it will be from the rest of the line-up in size and power.

The most notable feature about the phone is the display, which is bezel-less on the sides, and makes the front part of the phone look a lot like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. It seems that the display will be just as big as the Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Lite, which both sported 5.9-inch displays. The new leaks come courtesy of Evan Blass on Twitter.

Mate 10 Pro will join the Mate 10 Lite and the regular Mate 10, which Huawei is scheduled to release. The new display will also sport an 18:9 aspect ratio. There will be dual-camera setup on the back of the phone – one being a 12MP camera and a 20MP camera. The front-facing camera is an 8MP snapper. Huawei are planning to make AI the central theme of the new Mate 10 devices. On the back of the device, a feature that will separate the Pro from the other models of the Mate 10, will be a light strip or band extending from the left to right end of the back of the phone.

Also, the phone will  come in three different colors compared to the Mate 10 Lite, being dark blue, black and brown. Considering the Pro suffix is attached to the phone, it will most likely boast powerful specifications compared to the Mate Lite and the Mate 10.

The optics will be using Leica lenses with the main camera coming with an aperture of f/1.6, which will be one of few phones with such a big aperture in the market currently. Huawei is expected to reveal the new Mate 10 phones on October 16. Apart from the above-mentioned three phones that will be unveiled, there is a possibility that Huawei may announce the new Porsche edition as well, which will include the highest specifications and designer-aesthetic.

The Kirin 970 will be the processor of choice for the new Mate 10 series of phones and will come with USB-C audio along with support for 32-bit sound.
