Honor quietly launched 6C Pro in Europe with 5.2-inch HD display and 3GB of RAM

After much anticipation for the Honor 7X, the company has now quietly unveiled its new 6C Pro handset to the masses. Considering that the phone is not as celebrated and as powerful as its flagship siblings, it will feature entry-level specifications that with good build quality that will be vlue for money.

The smartphone will feature a MediaTek MT6750 chipset and a 5.2-inch 720p display. The phone’s RAM will be configured at 3GB and the internal storage of the phone will be limited to 32GB. On the rear is a 13MP main camera and on the front, is an 8MP snapper for taking selfies. Honor has also packed a meaty 3,000mAh battery on the phone and considering its specifications, should last the phone for over a day of usage on a single charge. Below the camera sensor on the rear also lies a fingerprint sensor.

As far as software is concerned, the phone will feature Android Nougat out of the box with EMUI 5.1, but we will not be holding our breaths for any future update plans to Android Oreo in the coming months. The 6C Pro looks strikingly similar to the Honor 6C that was launched in April. The unibody design also sports the antenna lines along the top and bottom of the device.

Honor has been planning on expanding its market to other countries such as India and while the original 6C did not make it to the sub-continent, it seems like the newest iteration, along with the Honor 7X could be among the first few phones to enter the new market. This seems appropriate as the 7X was the high-end flagship offering and the 6C Pro can be considered as the mid-spec’d device for a cheaper price tag.

Considering it falls on the lower spectrum of the power in the smartphone segment, it still offers novelty premium features such as 2.5D curved glass over the display. There is dual-SIM functionality along with expandability for storage as well. For 179 Euros, the phone will be made available in Europe soon, with France being the first market to receive the handset. The smartphone will come in Black, Gold and Blue color options.

Apart from launching a slew of smartphones this year, Honor has also launched a new water-resistant tablet in China with an IP67 rating and will go on sale soon in China, starting October 24.
