Harman Kardon’s smart speaker Invoke made official on website

Microsoft and Harman Kardon was working on a speaker equipped with Cortana for several months already. A teaser was also shown off last year revealing the name as well as the highlight, which is of course Cortana. After months, Harman has finally officially introduced the speaker.

The speaker dubbed as Invoke is already listed on Harman’s website, but without details on price or release. To compete with Google Home and Amazon Echo, the Invoke has a familiar design design with a cylindrical form factor.

If reports are to be believed, the Invoke is likely to be unveiled at the Microsoft Build developer conference this week. Those interested can register on the official page to be notified when Invoke will be available for purchase. It should hit retail stores by fall this year.

The Invoke is crafted with premium materials and the metallic speaker cabinet is capable of delivering sound at full 360-degrees. Additionally, users can make and receive calls with Skype.

Needless to say, with the personal digital assistant Cortana the possibilities are endless. Like in Amazon Echo, users can play music, respond to voice commands and control smart home products.

The greatest advantage with the Invoke will be its superior sound quality and technology, bearing the famed Harman Kardon name. And with Skype calling facility, the Invoke should give Amazon and Google a run for its money.
