Adding more convenience to travel, Uber has now introduced digital gift cards for those who want to gift a ride to friends and families.
On the website, you can pick a design and personalize your gift with a special note. You can enter any amount between $10 and $500. Provide the recipient’s name and email and the virtual card will be sent instantly. You also have the option to buy Uber gift cards in bulk.
The gift cards can be used for both rides and purchases made on the UberEATS app. For those not familiar with UberEATS, it is the company’s food delivery service available across 16 cities.
As for redeeming a gift card, commuters will need to enter the code shown on the card into the Uber app before requesting a ride. If your balance is less than the cost of your trip, you have the option to add an additional gift code or payment method for the remaining cost
Uber says the gift cards are also available at over 35,000 stores nationwide at retailers like Kroger, Target and Walmart. This holiday season you have one more unique gift idea to make travel more efficient and comfortable.
